Almost flat irrigation channels

Family-friendly alpine trails, trekking tours to crystal-clear mountain lakes, and challenging summit experiences – when hiking in the Vinschgau Valley, you don’t have to choose just one. Here, you can plan a different excursion every day, all while enjoying 300 sunny days a year!

Surrounding area

In Latsch and the surrounding area, your hiking routes are often chosen based on the season. In spring and autumn, the Sonnenberg (Sun Mountain) offers ideal conditions, staying pleasantly warm during the off-season with plenty of sunshine. The historical Waalwege (irrigation channels) and panoramic hiking trails are highly recommended for stunning views and peaceful walks.

Nörderberg

On the Nörderberg, where our residence is located, you’ll be in good hands during the often-hot summer months, especially at Residence Karpoforus. Here, you’ll find lush nature and high alpine hiking trails. For example, you can explore the alpine pastures of Tarscher Alm or upper Marzoner Alm, visit the Zirmtalerseen lakes, or hike to the Zufallhütte alpine pasture in the picturesque Martell Valley. We’ll be happy to provide you with more tips on-site.

The Südtirol Guest Pass, which you will receive free of charge upon your arrival, allows you to travel for free on buses, trains, and some cable cars in South Tyrol.

Trekking in the Vinschgau Valley never gets boring – and especially not in the hiking paradise of Tarscher Alm, which awaits you right at your doorstep. As a bonus, you’ll receive a 50% discount on the Tarscher Alm and Latscher Alm chairlifts.
